10. In Chisinau

Ingredients
- 300 g of slightly salted herring;
- to taste salt, dill and ground pepper;
- 200 g of cottage cheese;
- 30 g of 20% sour cream.
Cooking:
- Finely chop the herring with a knife as finely as possible.
- Put the fish in a deep bowl, add the curd cheese and sour cream. Mix, seasoning to taste with pepper and salt.
- Roll the cling film on the board, put half of the mass on it. Roll up the film, compacting the snack as much as possible, to get a plump sausage. Do the same with the second part. Soak in the refrigerator for 2 hours. Then unfold and roll on finely chopped dill.
8. In Finnish
The recipe is different in that for the preparation of mincemeat, in addition to herring, ground beef is used. The appetizer is hearty and tasty.
Ingredients:
- ½ kg of ground beef;
- 30 g of greens;
- 100 g herring fillet;

Cooking:
- Fillet herring, remove all bones, remove skin. Cut the fish into small pieces.
- Wash the carrots, boil, peel and crumble in large pieces. Grind processed cheese in the same way.
- Rinse greens of dill, dry and chop. Prepared ingredients are placed in a blender bowl. Add soft butter. Interrupt to a pasty state.

- Soak the loaf in milk, squeeze and twist through a meat grinder. Hard-boiled eggs, peel and crumble in small cubes. Add to other ingredients. After pouring vegetable oil, mix thoroughly.
5. Smoked
Forshmak with the addition of smoked herring has an amazing aroma. The dish turns out appetizing, and the potato will make it more satisfying.
Ingredients
- 200 g of herring smoked and slightly salted;
- to taste the salt;
- ½ lemon;
- 40 g of ordinary mustard;
- 1 potato;
- 50 g butter;
- 3 eggs;
- 1 red onion.
Cooking:
- Peel the salted and smoked herring from the bones and remove the skin. Peel the red onion.
- Pieces of fish with onions twist through a meat grinder. Pour the resulting mass with freshly squeezed lemon juice.
- Wash the potatoes, wrap in foil and place in the oven, preheating it to 200 C. Bake for forty minutes. Peel and grind vegetables. Grate boiled eggs.
- Combine herring in a bowl, add eggs, potatoes, mustard, soft butter. Mix.

A traditional dish is prepared from herring, but if there is no time to cut the fish, or you need to quickly prepare a snack for the arrival of guests, you can use canned food.
Ingredients
- 1 can of sardines in oil;
- to taste of mayonnaise;
- 1 onion;
- 3 eggs.
Cooking:
- Hard boiled eggs peel.

2. Jewish
The Hebrew version of foreshmak involves the use of a minimum of products. By adding soda, the snack is airy and lush. However, it must be added very carefully so that it is not felt in the finished dish.

- 20 ml of vinegar;
- 1 onion;
- 100 ml refined vegetable oil;
- 300 g butter.
Cooking:

- Peel, rinse and chop the onion.
- Sprinkle the pulp of bread with vinegar, twist twice through a meat grinder with onions and fish.
- Combine the mass with soft butter. Pour in a little lean and mix thoroughly. Add soda, continue to whisk with a spoon until the mass becomes airy.
1. Classic
The traditional forshmak recipe is prepared on the basis of herring, butter, with the addition of a green apple.
Ingredients
- 100 g herring fillet;
- 1 slice of white dry bread;
- 1 egg
- 5 ml of lemon juice;
- 1 onion;
- 10 g butter;
- ½ green apple.
Cooking:
- Hard-boiled egg. Place a slice of bread in a plate, pour milk.
- Finely chop the peeled onion, combine with soft butter. Add pressed bread. Beat until smooth.
- Cut herring. Separate the fillet. Chop fish and peeled egg into small cubes.
- Wash the apple, grate, sprinkle with lemon juice. Combine all prepared ingredients, mix until smooth. Maintain an appetizer for an hour.
