The art of cinema is an ideological power that has a great influence on the crowd. d.).
Particularly impressionable people can perceive what is happening on the screen very close to their hearts. And some characters or events are so convincing that people voluntarily do not voluntarily model a similar situation in life, completely imitating the actor.
It is interesting that the plot of thrillers or horror inspired many real criminals. At the same time, people realized that what was happening in the film was fake fictitious events, and nevertheless copied in their lives, using the “advice” from the screens.
Consider what 10 popular films caused potential criminals and people with mental disabilities to realize their most terrible dreams.
10. Judgment Night
An anti-utopian thriller with elements of psychology was released in 2013. The film tells about the future and the annual "cleaning", which lasts 12 hours. During this period, law enforcement agencies have the right to retire, and all "willing" to commit robberies, killings, violence and other crimes. The girl locks the house with locks and security systems so as not to be killed, and gives protection to the black man. It ends with massacre and chaos. Also, after 3 years, the man Jonathan Cruz carried out his “purge” - in four days he killed three people, including the African-American Billy Boyd, who became the first victim.
9. Project X: Dorval
This film is based on real events, which, perhaps, inspired people to robbery. According to the plot, the teenager Corey gathers with the help of social networks a noisy party of five hundred people, which leads to hooliganism, unrest and robbery until the arrival of the police with dogs and a military helicopter. The comedy raises the theme of weapons and drugs. Teens of the United States really appreciated the idea, so some decided to repeat the “cliche”: massive evening parties swept through the country in abandoned buildings with drunkenness, drugs and even weapons. I especially remember the case when 13 children almost demolished an empty house, worth half a million dollars: the doors and walls were torn down, all the windows were broken.
8. Scream
The famous slasher from the American director was so popular with the audience that several parts were filmed, as well as a comedy parody. During the eponymous series, a killer in a memorable suit and with a knife chases Sidney Prescott, making the life of her entourage unbearable, accompanied by a real bloody massacre. In real life, for the sake of a joke at the holidays, a maniac was imitated by many, which amused and scared friends. However, once in 2001, a 24-year-old guy really killed a teenage girl. At first he offered to meet, and after receiving a refusal in the famous mask he inflicted passion 30 blows with kitchen knives. Then he called the police and repented, explaining that he had long dreamed of recreating a favorite episode.
7. Money train
The viewer immediately liked the fun adventure comedy, but no one expected that it would be followed by a chain of dangerous imitations. The plot tells that the robber pours the cashier with flammable liquid and tries to set fire, however, the latter survives. In reality, it was not so. The criminal, imitating the movie hero, threatened the cashier with arson. He gave the robber money, but could not survive. This was followed by another 7 imitations with a tragic outcome. As a result, the film was withdrawn from rental, as people were outraged about the violence, which allegedly was propagated from the screens and inspired attackers.
6. Saw: A Survival Game
A multi-part film excited the consciousness of many people - quite a long time ago such sophisticated and bloodthirsty tortures did not show on the screens. The main character, a cancer patient John Kramer, punished bad people by inventing survival games for them. Each character had to learn a lesson, and only in this case remains a meager chance to survive. The film inspired two teenagers, and with the help of "tasks" they decided to remove two girls and a policeman from the road, taking pictures on the camera. The mother of one of the teenagers accidentally heard about the conspiracy and handed them to the police, where they admitted that the film served as a source of bloodthirsty ideas.
5. Higher power
The film tells about the murderer Dirty Harry and how he is being pursued by the police. A series of murders of mafia tycoons takes place in the city. The film is accompanied by scenes of sophisticated deaths and violence, and is also related to the theme of body trafficking. In one scene, a prostitute is forced to drink a chemical fluid to clean the pipes, after which the woman dies. In 1974, an organized gang took 3 hostages in a music store and forcibly poured the same Drano chemical fluid into its victims. However, the "ill-fated" victims, although suffering from pain and loathing, still did not die. Unfortunately, then they just had to be shot. The film "Higher Power" after this episode was criticized for the presence of scenes of violence.
4. A nightmare on Elm Street (part 2)
Freddy Krueger’s famous “exploits” kept children and teenagers at bay at various times. The second part was remembered by the audience for the scene, when a charred and disfigured maniac cuts a person’s face with blades. In 2004, the English-obsessed Gonzalez at one of the parties committed exactly the same murder, killing four people. In this part of the film, the character Freddy uses creepy knives to kill the victims. The paranoid schizophrenic Gonzalez also killed his victims with similar knives, for which he received as many as 6 life sentences for 4 committed murders and 2 assassination attempts. Later, the maniac committed suicide right in the cell.
3. Rambo: First Blood
Sylvester Stallone inspired many men with his personal qualities, and the Rambo film completely delighted the audience. Many young people tried to imitate a former Rambo war veteran. One of these pseudo-military men put on a uniform, tied a red bandana on his head and decided to kill a police officer in Toronto, for which law enforcement officers were forced to shoot a man. After some time, another insane person was discovered who lived 2 weeks in the forest, climbing trees and coating his body with protective paint. At the same time, a madman shot from a slingshot at passing people - a kind of comedic parody of Rambo. The troublemaker had to be transported to psychiatry.
2. The Dark Knight
The blockbuster of the popular director Nolan took a great hold on the psyche of the younger generation. This led to truly tragic consequences. In 2008, in the state of Colorado, right at the premiere of this film, one of the visitors shot 12 people, while he applied a characteristic smile to his face with paints, like the main villain of the Joker. Psychologist James Holmes was taken to the clinic. After a couple of years, an unbalanced teenage girl attacked a teacher with a razor blade in her hand. The victim beat off, but the girl could not stop, so she cut her mouth with the same razor in the manner of the character of the Joker.
1. Fight
The cult crime drama demonstrates the memorable game of two favorite actors of society - De Niro and Pacino. It was impossible not to imitate such convincing characters, as it turned out. A spectacular shootout from the film came to life in real life, when in 1997 a very similar massacre was organized in Hollywood. As a result, the robbers died, and a cassette was discovered in their house with the recording of the movie "Fight".
You never know which of the films suddenly turns out to be a living propaganda of violence and murder. Some characters can "reach out" to the most secret and dark corners of the brain of mentally unstable people.
